The Picasso Project is an enriching arts experience that involves community unlike the typical theatrical event or arts exhibition. Bringing together both theatre, over twenty art exhibits, a peace project and more, The Picasso Project has been impacting communities since 2008.

The Picasso Project involves a play, Picasso Becomes You, and art exhibits that span the creative periods of Picasso’s life, branching into exhibits that include other artists from the twentieth century as well as containing original student work from collaborating schools and community members/organizations.

Each exhibit boasts prints of Picasso’s original work, replicas of twentieth century artists created by KidSAKE staff in conjunction with the Art for Good production company and participating schools/organizations, as well as original student work and live art. Producers partner with schools to fill the exhibits with a rich landscape of artists’ writings, drawings, painting, sculpture and mixed media. The finale drop for each production is a peace project collaboration by the participating schools.

The Picasso Project can be used as a local fundraiser for your arts or other organization or school as well as expand to include curriculum based modules for the arts across the curriculum; workshops can be brought to your venue, please inquire with KidSAKE for more details. For a complete presentation on The Picasso Project and how you can enjoy and participate in this project for your area, contact KidSAKE by emailing us from our contact page on this website!
