Who would rob a soup kitchen?

Perhaps one hungrier than those who attend a local Honduran soup kitchen? To sell the pots? Or maybe the action is simply meanness or an act of spite. Nevertheless, it’s a terrible thing for Clementina’s soup kitchen in the village of Cane.

The women of the soup kitchen are working on self-reliance, but we have a ways to go. The funds were raised to purchase a new plot of land for a planned commercial soup kitchen with facilities to include a medical clinic, conference room, resource center and dorm rooms for visiting missions or work teams. Our cookbook is underway and funding is being sought to get our team to Honduras in June of 2012. Internship opportunities are available, though we need financing for stipends for our students.

Please contact us with questions and ask how you can help. Donations may be made online through our Paypal account or directly to us.

Warm regards,

Jenny Rogers, Executive Director
